I bought both my wife and I each one of these units for Christmas. I went on a trip for about 4 days and installed mine just before I left. When I got home, my wife (who is not really that technology-friendly) had hers installed as well. So I guess it must be pretty straight-forward and easy to use.br /br /The remote straps pretty easily to the steering wheel. Depending on which side of the velcro you put inside or outside, you may find your gloves or clothing sticking to the velcro. If you do, switch the velcro and that won't be an issue any longer. I've read about people having difficulty getting it tight on the steering wheel. I thought it was pretty easy, however if you attach it to a round section of the steering wheel, it can 'rotate' around the wheel if you're not careful. I usually try to put several fingers behind the remote (wrapping them around the wheel) when I push a button with my thumb to keep it from 'spinning' on the handgrip section of the wheel.br /br /The buttons work really well. There's a little blue light that blinks once whenever you push a button so you know if you pushed it 'enough'. (This is helpful in the winter when you're wearing gloves.) I read some people saying they had a hard time with having to push the button multiple times to get the remote to respond. But my guess is they weren't pushing it enough, as I've only had the remote "not read" my instructions when I've pushed the button not quite hard enough to get the light to blink.br /br /The piece that hooks to the bottom of the iPod is fairly small. Make sure you have someplace to store it so you don't lose track of it if you take your iPod in and out of the car a lot. It also has an opening in the bottom so that if you use a car charger, you can hook them up "piggyback" style to keep the remote working and your iPod charging while you're driving.br /br /All in all, I'm glad I made the purchase. I don't use the playlist features, etc. because my iPod is not in a 'stand' where I can see the screen while driving. But as a tool to skip ahead, rewind, play and pause my iPod it works really well.

Its okay - Daniel J. Saxon - Seattle, Wa
This certainly isn't worth 70 dollars but its an okay item. Sometimes when I plug the piece into my ipod the sound goes silent in which I have to unplug that piece and the music will play. The buttons are pretty stiff, you gotta push them with authority but maybe with time they will be easier. Overall I'm satisfied. If I knew what I knew now would I buy it again? Probably not. If it was 30 dollars I might but at 70 bucks its not worth it.

Does Work for the iPod Nano 5th Gen - Tim Stevenson -
I bought this and the Monster version and was so disappointed to find out that you cant use it with the most recent iPods - it doesn't allow you to connect the dock and any type of audio cable or headphone cable because it is to wide. Really disappointing!
